About Invoice Generator Online

Invoice Generator Online is a free, browser-based tool for creating professional business documents and downloading them as PDF. It produces four document types — invoices, quotes, credit notes and purchase orders — and is built for freelancers, contractors, consultants, agencies and small businesses that need to bill clients quickly without buying accounting software.

What it does

  • Creates invoices, quotes, credit notes and purchase orders, each with its own document title and numbering.
  • Calculates subtotals, tax, discounts and shipping automatically, as either a percentage or a fixed amount.
  • Supports every major world currency, with correct symbols and formatting.
  • Lets you upload a logo and rename every field label, so the document matches how your business actually bills.
  • Generates a print-ready PDF in the browser, with no watermark.
  • Runs on desktop, tablet and phone, in 16 interface languages.

What it does not do

Being clear about the limits is more useful than a longer feature list. Invoice Generator Online is not accounting software: it does not file taxes, reconcile bank transactions, produce financial statements, or tell you what tax rate to charge. It has no receipt template today. Nothing on this site is tax or legal advice — invoicing requirements differ by country and by what you sell, so confirm your own position with a qualified accountant or your tax authority.

What it costs

Creating and downloading documents is free and unlimited. There is no signup, no credit card and no watermark on the PDF. An optional free account saves invoices and customers to the cloud so you can reach them from another device. Paid plans add saved-document management, payment tracking and priority support. The generator itself stays free either way.

How your data is handled

If you use the tool without an account, the invoice is assembled and the PDF is rendered in your own browser, and your current draft and your recent history are kept in that browser’s local storage rather than on a server — which is also why that history is per-device and disappears if you clear your browser data. Saving to the cloud, emailing an invoice and sharing a link all require an account and do send the document to the server. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is collected and why.

Getting help

The help page covers how to use the tool, and the invoicing guides go deeper on payment terms, chasing late payments, credit notes and cash flow. If you need a starting point for your own situation, the invoice templates explain what belongs on an invoice for different kinds of work.
